Recently we suffered terrorist attacks. 10 misguided young men  came and sprayed bullets across Mumbai, India.  Nine of the terrorists died and one captured alive. There were a reported 151 people killed from 11 different countries – though nearly 100 were Indian. More than 300 injuries have also been reported

my prayers to all ten of those terrorists:

Dear Terrorist

– next time or in your next life, if God permits – become my brother or son or someone I know. Let me show you Love, let me show you power of compassion. Let me show you that Rose is far more powerful than a bullet. Let me show you thousand ways to be Religious, Let me show you thousand ways to celebrate life. Let me show joy of helping and saving lives!

They came a long way to kill

people they never met

to murder someone they never knew

to hurt people they have never seen,

I do not know what drove them

but I bet

they have not prayed ,

Looks like they have never been loved and cared.

Bullets never listen to prayer

Bombs can never be made in God’s courtyard

It doesn’t matter

For every act of Evil

There is a million acts of kindness!

I send you love, Brothers in arms

love

suresh

PS:  my hearfelt tears and prayers to those killed in Mumbai attacks. My your soul rest in peace!

  6. Hey, as a move towards expressing our personal protest to the faceless terrorism, most of bloggers in Kannada have started putting a black page header, or the symbol for anti-terror protest on our blogs. We also plan to do bigger things other than just protesting, but still not sure of what. join us in expressing the protest if u find it meaningful.

  7. The words expressed here are worth a million dollars or simply priceless.

Allow me express on a sideline that as long as we are stuck in love, the terror is bound to be there. As somewhere else told, love and terror are the thickest and closest friends.

I salute and respect the terrorists for we need them to balance this mad world. Terrorists are no different from our own brothers, this very moment.

The fact is that terrorists have no religion, they have only mission. Politicians paint religion there for their own survival and perversion. Love the terrorist and that’s the only way to end it. May sound mad or pardoxical, but I mean it.

Not that I endorse killings of hundreds of innocent lives.

  9. this post brought tears, suresh.

remembered a line from a popular kannada film song:

‘preethine aa dyaavru thanda aasthi namma baalvege’

(meaning: Love is the wealth that god bestowed upon us in our lives)

feels honoured that you gave link to my design. thank you.

  10. a truely committed post and it is from the core of the heart. If everyone thinks in those lines, life will be heaven. unfortunately we are human beings with our own weaknesses and strengths. your approach to the problem is commendable.

  12. You’ve written one of the most powerful letters I’ve ever read! It stirs up so many emotions – I know your words are sincere as you reach out with love and kindness to those responsible for these horrific events. Will we ever reach the point as a people where love can triumph all? You’re a wise man, dear one. Thanks for writing this letter! Wish everyone could read it.

My heart goes out to ALL those affected by this terrible tragedy. Your country has had it’s share of pain and suffering.

I’ll read bellur’s post that you have recommended, as well.

  19. Thank you for this! to love is the answer we rarely try in this world. Perhaps we could send love to those that wish to harm us now. Perhaps that could open their hearts a bit and love would flow.
