A fable of Love and Life for New year by Suresh. Copyright Suresh 2012

———————————————————-

It’s New Year as usual, Town is beautifully glowing with lights as I take a midnight stroll, and there is something about New Year! People just feel something new is going happen & things are going to be better, old resolutions just for few days find new life.

As I pass the main street, bunch of young drunkards are over excited to wish everyone, On this same street and on similar nights I have been called by my skin color and by four letter words. But not today! Today It seems like world is a nicer place.

At this time of the year!! I love to take midnight walks nearby river bridge. Every New Year, this river and bridge suddenly becomes a Runaway Bride@!…Overflowing!, Giggling with sound, Lit up with light!! And with the noisy songs of the city, it’s fantastic.  I just stand by the bridge to savour the beauty of this town.

Tonight I see my friend Father John on the bridge, still in his pastor uniform under the leather jacket. He sees me and calls me out ” Hey ugly dear one!!, Come over I have two glasses and wine bottle, I have been waiting for a beautiful lady! But looks like my luck isn’t in my  pocket! I have to settle for an ugly guy!” I smile as I know John for over 30 years! He loves to cut jokes at my expense!  I tell him “John, You are ugly and no woman ever liked you!  I heard this from reliable source!”

John looks at me and shouts loudly “my friend! You want wine or not! You can’t bloody insult me and expect me to pour wine, do you?” I tell him “Sorry”

He asks me “Who is your reliable source?” and I let a big grin on my face and tell John” it’s your Mom , John!” and John Laughs hysterically and says  “if you want  to know women, you have to stop talking to my Mom!”

We both laugh our bellies out! As we settle with our wine glass and find a nice little corner on bridge, John fills two glasses of wine!

Before I could pick up my glass and say cheers! John tells me “Slow my friend! Where is your prayer? In fact it’s OK to go to Church and not pray! But drinking Wine and you don’t pray? Oh! You are committing big sin , not the one easily forgiven!

I raise my eyebrows-in question mark and John tells me ” Wine, WINE, Wine, my dear friend, Wine comes from same root as divine‘ and he goes on without waiting for me to respond.

“Wine is the most beautiful discovery of man, he failed to find God in every moment  so he discovered wine! In wine man discovers and uncovers the root he has forgotten, that is Happiness is his core being!! Wine gives him eyes from which world looks beautiful, Infact this universe is always beautiful but you don’t have eyes to see. Wine gives you eyes to see this world beautifully. Wine gives you a song to sing and wine gives you a dance to dance! And my friend that’s how you live in this world! With a dance and a song…”

“……Wine gives you  heart to laugh and stay light,  suddenly you have no other moment important more than now, because you can’t have any other moment when you  are drunk. Drunkards move slowly not because they are drunk, because that’s how you should be in first place, Slow and full of awareness.”

“….My friend, Wine is a reminder to you that Life can be better, Wine is a taste of what divine tastes like!. Infact if you can be drunk with divine! Then you found your life!”

“…Wine is an every moment reminder that you need to find Divine! Be careful my friend!  Please drink both wine and life carefully, take every sip of life with awareness and with prayerfulness. Do not insult wine by drinking wine with out smelling aroma. You can smell it if you know your breathing!  Just be aware of breathing then you can smell the aroma of Divine and Life everywhere!”

“…..I am still holding my glass while John looks at his glass and tells me one final time before drinking “My friend on this New year, I wish you wine and Divine! May every moment of your life be as new as a sip of this wine! May you smell every moment with your breath, may you get drunkard with Divine rest of your life,, Hic hic hip hip hurray!”

I lift my glass too but slowly and say “Happy New year John! I wish you wine and Divine!”

_ End of the fable

Barack Obama might be winning elections in Potomac primaries across US but Microsoft doesn’t think much of him! If you type Obama into Microsoft word and wait for spelling recommendation form Microsoft then it recommends Osama!

In history of mankind only two kinds of people have been remembered for generations. Only two kinds… Meditators and Murderers

On one hand Christ, Buddha, Krishna, Mohammad who are part of religious consciousness and are alive today with number of followers.

On the other hand Hitler, Saddam, Osama has remained part of daily unconscious thinking and are equally remembered regularly in various platforms.

It’s a strange history isn’t it? Well you decide what you want to pick?

Meditation is nothing but rediscovering your-self. Meditation is art of discovering whatever was there for centuries and whatever will be there for centuries. Meditation is Alchemy of transforming murderers effect on mankind.

Fate is the outcome of your mind

Fate is when you live out greed and ambition

Fate is the result of your anger

Fate is when you are in mind.

Destiny is Love

Destiny is river flowing back to Ocean

Destiny is right now and be here

Destiny is taking a ticket to no where.

Destiny is your deep acceptance of what you are.

Destiny is when you give up your fate and stay in Love.

Don’t blame your fate for your problems. You worry about fate because you are stuck in problems of the world. In Love there is no where to go, You have arrived at your destiny even before you start your Journey. Your destiny is manifested in you and by your awareness.

Meditation is joy of journey, Meditation is art of manifesting your destiny.

New year resolution means you already destroyed your New Year!

You decide today for tomorrow? You have destroyed tomorrow.
Allow the tomorrow to have its own being. Let it COME in its own way! Let it bring its own gifts.Resolution means you will allow only this and you will not allow that. Resolution means you would like the sun to rise in the west and not in the east. If it rises in the east, you will not open your windows; you will keep your windows open to the west.

What is resolution? Resolution is struggle. Resolution is ego. Resolution is saying, “I cannot live spontaneously.” And if you cannot live spontaneously, you don’t live at all — you only pretend.

Resolution also means you are not able to resolve issues. You get into resolution because issues are not easy on you. You say “I want to leave smoking next year!” – So leave it. Why make resolution for it. Because smoking is tough to leave you move into resolution mode. The moment you make resolutions, you already started your New Year with a war in your mind. Now you have created a situation where if your resolution fails then it leaves a mark on your mind. You are already set yourself up for failure and friction.

Let me make another point clear. Whatever you want to do New Year – Have clear intent of it but don’t make resolution. Intent means you will make effort to change or execute whatever you have planned but you are not worried about results. Intent means you will celebrate both failure and success equally well. Resolution means you are not ready for anything other than success.

So let only one resolution be there: I will never make any resolutions. Drop all resolutions! Let life be a natural spontaneity. The only golden rule is that there are no golden rules.

Love and lots of it Dear ones

Happy New Year!

Suresh

“In celebration of Christ” fable by Suresh:

As usual I was getting ready for morning prayer. You know today is special, its Christmas! and I have lot of people to attend to. I have been working as a Bishop for years and nothing much has changed except that church contributions have grown bigger and I have grown fatter and little balder. I have felt good being a Bishop!

My vesture looked nice and ironed. It’s always nice to walk around in Italy during Christmas, So much celebrations and festivity around. As I walked out of my house, a well built stranger with piercing eyes was waiting for me. I wished him well and asked him “who are you? What Can I do for you?”

He said “I am Mr. Jesus and I am here to bless you”

Hahahahaha,

I said “Good Morning Mr. Jesus, Nice to see you and would you like to come with me to address morning prayers?

Jesus: “Sure if you insist,

I said with half smile “Son what do you want? good joke but what can i do?

He said “I want nothing, I am Jesus and I have come back to help my people. I waited for a second and then said “Sure, would you like to show me your ID or some proof that proves you are Mr. Jesus.

He just walked near my pool and started walking on water. Afterwards he came outside the pool and called my servant John, asked him to show his limping leg. It took him few seconds to cure Johns’ leg. For me everything was moving too fast. John was down on ground with folded hands in eternal prayer.

I knew that this man is really Jesus!I thought this is not going well and its an important morning . I called Mr. Jesus inside “What’s this magic you are doing? I was stern and serious.

Jesus said “there is no magic, this is who I am” he continued “Can we go to prayer hall now? and I would love to meet my followers and dear Christians. I have waited for this day for so long.

I had to tell Jesus the truth.

“Look Mr. Jesus I can’t take you and introduce you in prayer hall”

Why not? Jesus asked.

I said “I have too much at stake, If you are the Jesus then why would anybody listen to me again? Why would anybody come to church again? What about me being Bishop? I have worked hard throughout my life to come to this position and I can’t just give it away. I am starting to have little fun you know.

Jesus said” but I thought you love me and you wanted me to resurrect again?

I said” Yes yes that’ true but things have changed since you are gone. We have built empire around us and we have charitable institutions, Banks and millions of priests depending on this setup. If you come now then it’s going trouble for all of us. We can’t allow the real Jesus to surface. Because we have too much at stake.

Jesus looked little sad “ what do I do now? Where shall I go?

I said “you stay at my place. No one will know, You can tell me stories about Bible and your crucification”. I will take care of you but I can’t introduce you to the world.

Jesus said “ Ok would you like to crucify me at least? That way there is a new hope for my loved ones?

Me: I can do that and what reason can I use now to crucify you?

Jesus : how about WAR? I want to die so that WAR can be stopped?

Me: Listen Mr. Jesus! , I know you are excited about the Crucification, but this is going bit too far. If you prefer I can shoot you. Don’t even consider WAR. We have politicians, businessmen supporting us in our community. The moment you take on them we will not get their support. So please stay out of this non-violence business. We need them and they need us. this nexus is working well for years!

Jesus: What do I do now?

Me: listen we have a problem here. I am running late for prayers. I will think through this. When I come back I will find a way to kill you. First of all you made a mistake coming back. Now you are troubling me. But don’t worry, you have given me a good life. So let me crucify you in return.

End of the fable

Parting note:

You will avoid that man. It is dangerous to So only those who are very courageous can come near to a Jesus. The greatest courage is needed to come near a man like Jesus. That means you are ready to take the jump into the abyss, you are ready to lose yourself.

To move with Jesus in the insecurity of the unknown, in the uncharted, in the ocean where the other shore is not visible, tremendous courage is needed. And this is the problem: very few will follow Jesus. Those who escape, they will miss him, and they will miss the very meaning of their own lives, because deep down, when you try to escape Jesus, you are trying to escape from your own truth. He is nothing but your future — you are a seed, he is the tree; he has come to bloom, he is your future, he is your possibility. Escaping from him, you are escaping from your own ultimate possibility.

I celebrate Christ and I celebrate Christ Consciousness.

Merry Christmas!

Love

Suresh

Recently I was in a Theater Watching Kids Movie , It was a special Discovery channel movie hosted for Kids and I accompanied my friend and her kids.

As the movie progressed , They were showing two Lions Mating. One climbing on the other and their foreplay.Suddenly One of the kids in the front row asked his Mummy ” Mom what are they doing ? His Mom looked embarrassed replied ” Just shut up and watch that movie , Can’t you see those Lions fighting?

Kid did’t even move and he just went into forced silence. Then taking clue from front row kid, My friend’s daughter asked her in a hush tone ” Mama what are they doing?

My friend replied in a loud voice “Dear one, they are making Love and that’s how they do it”.

My friends daughter looked content and was very happy with the answer. I looked proudly at my friend and She just winked back.

That’s how you need to treat your kids.Treat them with respect and treat them with truth and nothing but truth. They are true exponent of this world until you interfere in their progress as a parent.

Sometime that’s all it requires to solve most of our queries towards life. Face reality and face truth. With Kids do not expose them to bunch of lies. If you can’t tell them truth at least don’t tell them a lie. Say “I do not know”. Kids will figure out truth now or later. Same with your approach to life. Do not surround yourself with bunch of beliefs and lies. Kids grow up hating their parents mostly because of their hypocrisy.

Road to truth is paved with thorns at the start and roses at the end. You need just hang on for little more to enjoy the journey

Love dear ones and that’s ton of it

Suresh

People carry such wrong notions about Love. Every-time I talk to someone about love it seems like I am discussing a Business issue. Love has become a two way street. People have forgotten that love is a one way street. People are ready to give love only if they are loved.

The whole universe is linked by thread of love. The subtle relationship among all living and nonliving beings are linked thru love. That’s why Sufis refer God as “Beloved” to them Life is a love affair. If you can move higher in your Meditation then you are bound to get drunk in love.

Your failure in life to get love has nothing to with the other. If for a moment you can take a realistic look at your situation then you will find out that all your complaints about love has been due to your own doing.

I keep hearing friends telling me ” You know Suresh – She doesn’t love me anymore “. So I ask them back ” What about you – Do you love her? “. Immediate reply to me consists of terms and conditions of love. If she behaves like this, like that, then I am ready to love her.

It’s strange but true Love has been reduced to a thing. In love you are not unconditional. Your love is available to other person only if she/he is living up-to your expectations. That’s why you fail in love. You are not loving a stone, other one is also a human being. It’s like keeping the other in ZOO and telling her/him how she should behave so that you can love her!

Have you ever thought about it? For a moment think? – Can you accept the other with all postivies, negatives, drawbacks and love unconditionally?. I doubt so – the reason for it is very simple. You do not love yourself unconditionally!. You have not accepted yourself in total. When you struggle with your own existence other becomes difficult.

This is why you see so many failed marriages. When you are in love actually you are not concerned about the other. You are excited about what is happening to you when in love. You feel good about life, good about everything around you. In other words in both sex and love you are only concerned about what’s happening to yourself. Other has never been important to you.

You always confuse relationship with Relating. In relationship you are trying to create patterns which you are familiar with. For example in relationship you have fixed ideas about how the other should be. whereas In relating you constantly in learning and acceptance mode.

Unless love becomes unconditional there is no hope for marriage. Love towards existence, Self acceptance, present moment living are the key towards creation of unconditional love.

You cannot love -You have to be the Love it’s self. When your love is not directed to t external direction, Your celebration of love begins. your being needs to be filled with love. Then slowly you will see the whole existence start responding to your love unconditionally.

Don’t fall in love -Rise in love. Falling in love has become ugly. Rise higher and higher in love. The whole alchemy of Love is inside you not outside. Love yourself deeply and Unconditionally then you are capable of loving the other also.

Lot’s of love

Cheers

Suresh

Dog and Disciple comes from same root, unless you stop behaving like DOG you cannot know GOD

Other day I met someone to talk about meditation. She said she wants help because she is really tensed up due to family problems. Talks led from one topic to another and I casually mentioned over a conversation that “Both Priest and Prostitute have equal possibilities to attain God”. The moment I said that she immediately got up and said “at least I expected you to say bad things about whore and not compare them with priest”.

She also said “she expected me to be a decent guy and she was disappointed as I spoke against her beliefs. finally she decided I am not he right guy to talk about meditation because I don’t match her requirements of how a teacher should be. She had already decided what she wanted to hear from me. Unless I followed her expected path, she was not ready to listen to me.

Most of you have similar issues. You already prepared yourself for God a& Guru. God and Guru happens to you only when you are open and carry no prejudice. You are not ready to accept Guru or God with open arms. You have already decided what Guru & GOD should be and must be.

NOW the Pope, Maulvi’s, Shankaracharya’s of the world is in dilemma. The moment they say good things about other religions, People will remove from their post and finish them off. Even if they want to – Pope cannot talk about Mohammad, Maulvi cannot talk about Mary, Shakaracharya cannot talk about Buddha! Suddenly religion and religious leaders are shaped by followers and not the other way. This is the reason why Religion has been stagnated for so long. Suddenly everyone wants to hold on to scriptures, religions, Gurus. No one wants to know truth, because truth requires a rebel character and lonely journey. In a world of fast food you need ready made answers and you live in a world of ready made answers.

It is not accidental that if you turn word DOG then you get GOD. Dog is a subtle symbol of lack of authenticity. The moment you drop DOG like ‘following nature’ from you character and you start moving on a journey towards God.

Please learn from wherever or whomever you want. Find a Guru or religion to which you feel has made difference to your heart. Then thank him or her and move on. I have had thousands of Gurus in my life. I keep learning everyday from one or the other. But the moment I have understood and experienced then everything is my own. I have nothing but heart full gratitude to them. And that’s where we have moved on & changed lanes. Do not stick to Guru or God so much you become nothing more than a Dog. You disciple nature should not become a character of Dog.

There is nothing wrong following a Guru, there is nothing wrong if you start with some beliefs. It’s OK. I am not against Guru or organized religion. But over a period of time your beliefs should turn into your experiences otherwise if they remain as just beliefs, then you haven’t made much progress. Guru can give you just the right push you required to start your Journey. From then on please drive yourself. Remember the very meaning of belief is nothing but something you do not know and something you assume.

I repeat and repeat to you – that no Guru or religion can make you enlightened on the path. You have to do it yourself. Truth is first hand phenomena and it is not a second hand expression.

Old Zen saying – “if you meet Buddha on the road kill him”

Jesus says – “unless you become like children you will not enter heaven’

Indian Mystic’- “unless your drop guru, you cannot become his disciple”!

Child means authenticity. Children always follow whatever they want, Even if you tell them don’t touch fire, it iwll burn you. they will touch and cry. Once they understood fire burns you, they will never do it. but the key thing is here they want to get burned and they don’t buy your word for it. Make sure you encourage truth with your kid. Do not fill him with ideas. Expose him to ideas but do not force him to adopt it. Ask him find truth and live with it.

It doesn’t matter whether right or wrong; go with your own experiences. It’s better that way as your experience takes closer to destination. Borrowed words take you further away from your path.

Unless you are authentic and rebel, you are not going anywhere. Being rebel is essence of growth. Being authentic is the positive ways towards truth. Following oneself is where the ultimate treasure is.

When everything fails, you use the last card, the trump in the pack of cards, and call it love.

U G Krishnamurti (1918-2007)

My longtime friend, antiguru, UG died at Vallecrossia in Italy aged 89. What can I say? I had fun listening to him , I had good times, Silent times, Conscious times with him.

UG- I am glad I got a chance to see you in your last breath. For once Italy moved into my unforgettable memories.

We had our arguments, we had our fights and we had love beneath all this. I was never his disciple nor his follower but I loved him. All my meetings were between breaths.

Hell what; I celebrate your death UG, as much as I enjoyed your life!

Bye UG,

Love

What face are you wearing today? Your life is nothing but a series of Masks!

Have you looked at yourself lately?

When you look at mirror you assume you are looking at your face! But that’s the lie you have been trained to live with. You actually see what you want to see. You get up in morning and Start wearing masks for the day, one for wife, One for Boss, One for friend and One for Kids- So on and on. Based on what you want you project you wear a face.

It’s not accidental that more people love actors than any other profession. Deep inside you are nothing but an actor. You play roles based on whom you meet and what you feel. Only difference is nobody gives you star status for daily acting!

Situations change so you need many false faces, masks. From the morning till the evening, from the evening till the morning, thousands of faces are used. When you see a man approaching who is powerful, you change the mask; when you see a man who is a beggar approaching you, you are different. The whole time, moment to moment, there is a constant change in the face.

One has to be alert about it because it has become so mechanical that you need not be aware of it, it goes on changing by itself. If a servant comes in the room you don’t even look at him. You act as if he is not a man, as if he doesn’t exist, as if nobody has entered. But when the boss comes in the room you suddenly jump, you have a smiling face, receiving, welcoming, as if God himself has entered into the room.

Watch your face, the changes that occur continuously. Look in the mirror and think of the many faces that you can change. Look in the mirror and bring the face that comes when you approach your wife; look at the face that comes when you approach your beloved; look at the face when you are greedy, when you are angry; create the face when you feel sexual; create the face when you feel dissatisfied, frustrated. And watch in the mirror: you will find you are not one man — you are a crowd. And sometimes it will be difficult even to recognize that all these faces belong to you. A mirror can be a great blessing. You can meditate in the mirror, change your faces and look at them. This will give you a glimpse of how false your whole life has become. And none of these faces is you.

All these relationships — enemy or friend, father or son, wife or husband — have so engulfed you that within yourself you can neither find nor know your own being.

In Love and meditation you can come face to face with your own face. That’s why people in love keep looking into each other eyes and face. In Love you don’t wear mask, you carry real face. As love wears out in relationship you constantly start wearing masks and the only thing you avoid is looking into each others face.

The day you find your real face, you don’t need a mirror because whole cosmos reflects your face and that’s face of God too!

What face are you wearing today?

Love

Suresh

Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take; But by the moments that take our breath away…..

When was last time something took your breath away? When was the last time you felt like “this is it!”?

Everyday, try and find moments where you can find yourself. These drops of small precious moments can build ocean of Joy for lifetime.

Love and that’s a ton of it dear ones!

In nature a repulsive caterpillar turns into a lovely butterfly. But with humans it is the other way around: a lovely butterfly turns into a repulsive caterpillar. ~Anton Chekhov

Butterfly is a mystic phenomena but you may not understand it. Butterflies can create more flutters in your heart than any other flying insect. Butterfly is also symbolic of man’s own existence.

Man lives in a cocoon. His cocoon is full of Ego,Goals and Misery. Man keeps on building his cocoon with false materials, He doesn’t realize one day everything will disappear. He keeps building walls of security built on foundation of greediness. Man is a caterpillar destined to butterfly. and Only man and I repeat- Only man never realizes his potential to become butterfly.

Caterpillar needs to die to become a butterfly. Caterpillar needs to go through metamorphosis to become a Butterfly. Trust me Caterpillar has no knowledge about colors he can produce in his death. But he still moves with trust towards unknown.

In death, caterpillar explodes into millions of colors. In living in this moment ugly caterpillar becomes beautiful butterfly.

Remember to Live in this moment. Live this moment with so much intensity that every death of a moment gives rise to beautiful next moment. Live this moment is such ecstasy that you have no option other than getting out of your cocoon.

Live this moment with so much love that you have no choice but to explode into butterfly. Just be in Love with everything you see, be in Love with nature, be in love with existence , Be in Love in your deep acceptance. Love alone can give you wings. Love alone is enough to make you butterfly.

What the caterpillar calls the end of the world, the master calls a butterfly.” Richard Bach

Love is the only substantial thing in life, all else is illusion. Let love grow in you and God will be growing on its own accord. If you miss love you will miss God and all.

There is no way to God without love. God can be forgotten — if love is remembered, God will happen as a consequence. It happens as a consequence. It is the fragrance of love and nothing else.

Be in Love and I wish – you become a butterfly

I Love you and Love is my message

photos and you!

Eyes are an amazing science. What you see can create a ripple of thoughts inside you. In an over communicative world, Eyes need rest. They need rest from your thinking and constant chattering of mind. Let me share with you photos, which takes your mind away. Let me give you a taste of silence for a moment. This site is your private space. Space where you can be just still and enjoy images. My effort is to create a guidaspirituale thru images.
