That’s the potential of man and you!

You are lotus by birth!

Lotus flower grows in mud and it is a symbol of transformation! You have same potential to bloom under any circumstances. The intention and belief in yourself is the most important requirement to unlock your potential.

In east we say once man tastes silence he smells of Lotus. it is in the middle of all obstacles his growth remains exponential.

Meditation is the master key to nurture you inner garden.  Find silence and combine it with intent and chances are that you will find your inner lotus.

Suresh Gundappa 2008

I am guilty of stealing silence!

Recently a friend named “Lou” asked me if I have stolen my meditation psots from someone!  He said it looks like I have stolen from Osho!

Obviously he did not spend enough time on my site. If you just type Osho in my site search engine then you will find my first blog note which is dedicated to my first teacher.

But there is more to it. I have stolen more silence and more notes from lot of others too. I have stolen from Wayne Dyer, Deepak Chopra, Brain Weiss, Gangaji, Inayat Khan, Reshad field, Jesus, Buddha, Patanjali, Castaneda, Cohelo, Teresa, Rumi, Hafeez, Zorba, Gar Zukov, Einstein, Krishna, Richard Bach, Hugh Prather, Anne Beasant, Eckhart Tolle, Blavostsky, Idreis shah, and countless others.

In one way or the other, my awareness is a by-product of many teachers and wisdom of ages.  Everything on this blog belong to someone else who met awareness before me!

Unfortunately I cannot say same thing about photos, they belong to a moment where I was present enough to click using my camera! They are mostly mine!

I am guilty as charged and I indeed stole a moment of silence from these masters and many thanks to them for being compassionate towards me.

Meditation is the only truth which cannot be shared, you can read thousand of scriptures and meet thousand gurus, but when silence descends on you, it is going to be your personal space which cannot be shared! Awareness is when you disappear and whole universe is mirrored inside you!

Thank you!

Cheers

Suresh

Try and relax and You will more tense.

the harder your try, chances are you get more tense.

relaxation doesn’t come thru efforts, it happens because you understand the nature of your mind.  When you make efforts to relax – you are actually working thru your mind which is the source of your tension. In order to achieve relaxation you need to go beyond mind.

Prayer, Meditation, laughter are some of the ways you can beyond mind.

Meditation is nothing but effortless effort, It is nothing but no-mind or beyond mind.  The moment you understand you are not your mind then you have found the source of relaxation.

Attention can be read as “at-tension”

It is just your unawareness and your impatience.

It seems tension has nothing to do with anything outside you, it has something to do within you. Outside you always find an excuse only because it looks so idiotic to be tense without any reason. Just to rationalize, you find some reason outside yourself to explain why you are tense.

But tension is not outside you, it is in your wrong style of life. You are living in competition — that will create tension. You are living in continuous comparison — that will create tension. You are always thinking either of the past or of the future, and missing the present which is the only reality — that will create tension.

IT IS A QUESTION of simple understanding; there is no need of any competition with anybody. You are yourself, and as you are, you are perfectly good.

I went to see Kung Fu Panda movie along with my family.  I loved this movie.  It’s a great Kids movie with great anecdotes in between.  I have captured couple of them which are pearls of meditation.  Hope you enjoy it.  It’s amazing how one can combine wisdom and entertainment.  I grinned all the way back home thinking about it.  Do watch it with friends and family when you get time ( I declare and I promise that I am not making any money in incentives if you watch this movie!!!!)

Quotes from Kunf Fu Panda movie:

    • There are no accidents.
    • There is no charge for awesomeness… or attractiveness.
    • Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift. That is why it is called the present.
    • One often meets his destiny on the road he takes to avoid it.

Experience, expression, God, Knowledge

It has been one of the misfortunes of our era

God has been defined by others

you always form an opinion even before you search God

God always starts with you

in silence

in nothingness

and

the moment you drop all your knowledge

then God begins his steps towards you

God is an experience

not an expression

Only your experience of God is right

rest are words open for translation!

When I am in my mind

I see greed, cunning, hatred, angry

when I am in my heart

I see Love, compassion, beauty,

I have both heart and mind

I can choose the one I want

If my mind is Devil

If my heart is God

then Devil and God must be  in me!

I guess Devil Must be God!

otherwise How else I know the beauty of God!

Ego-Edging God Out

If you can accept yourself totally without any prejudice , belief or opinion then you have tremendous energy available to you. Most of your energy is consumed in proving yourself right at every opportunity. if you look at yourself, all your relations, your work and your dreams, they  are nothing but one way street of what you want.

You are perfect as one can be and that’s because this creation is perfect. And everything created under this universe is perfect. Universe means one song : uni + verse.

The constant urge to prove yourself is ego. The constant need to form opinion on others is ego.

The ego has no interest in you. It is only interested in its existence. Ego’s existence is nothing but absence of awareness. It is not something that the ego can brag of It would like to go to the moon, which is not your birthright. Howsoever silly it will be, it would like to go to Everest. That is not your birthright, but the ego gets interested only in things which make you superior, higher, special, famous, celebrities. The ego is not interested in something which you are carrying with you from your very birth. It is interested in extraordinary things. The more difficult the job, the more the ego becomes interested in it. And enlightenment is the easiest thing in existence, the most natural. Hence, ego has no interest in it.  This is how the problem arises. The moment a child is born, nobody is interested in the child’s nature, his potential, his possibilities of growth. Nobody is interested in the child’s birthright. Everybody is interested in making the child something very special — an Alexander the Great, a Beethoven, a Picasso, an Albert Einstein, a Mao Tse-tung — somebody who is going to be in history. Your mother, your father, your teachers, your priests, everybody is helping you to move away from yourself as much as possible. And this distance is the strength of your ego. The farther you are from yourself, the bigger is your ego.

simple way of reducing ego is allowing this universe ( you can call it God if you want) to work on you. only problem is you are so full of Ego that you have no place of Universe to define you and create miracles for you.

slow down little bit Accept yourself in whatever form, shape, behavior you are, You are as perfect as any other creation on this universe. Just allow silence to come in. Just allow universal energy to come inside you.

that’s why EGO is nothing but edging God out.  the moment your Ego disappears then God comes in.

Meditation is art of dissolving Ego, Meditation is nothing but science of moving beyond ego.

Taking sweet revenge on her father’s killer

Former India Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi was killed by Militants. Few weeks back his daughter did unimaginable thing, she met her Father’s murderer and she took the sweetest revenge possible, she forgive her.

you can read more about it by clicking following link

http://www.time.com/time/world/article/0,8599,1732217,00.html

It’s never happened before in politics. Politics means another word for revenge and ugly game of taking another fellow down,

But then there are exceptions and there is hope,  I usually don’t write about politicians but then once in a while event happens in such a way that you need to share.

remember: one who forgives is forgiven. The quality and the capacity to forgive is one of the most beautiful flowers of the human soul. Revenge is ugly. mean; it is falling to the lowest. To forgive is to rise so high. The more one becomes capable of forgiving, the more one’s heart expands, one’s consciousness grows bigger. The day one can forgive all and everything is the day when god meets man, man meets god.

So let this quality of forgiveness become your very centre. Don’t forgive in the sense that you are obliging. Don’t forgive as a duty, because then it creates the ego, and a very subtle ego, which is dangerous. more dangerous than revenge itself. The holy ego is the worst possible ego in the world. So don’t be righteous. Take it with ease; to forgive should become natural, and then it is really a benediction.

Meditation is art of forgiving oneself, Meditation is knowing all is one so there is nothing to forgive and nothing to take revenge on.

Cheers

Karma and Crime comes from same roots!

New karma Everyday!

copyright Suresh Gundappa 2008.

It is interesting to note that word Karma has been borrowed from east and has been used extensively across the west.  Although in it’s core meaning Karma denotes nothing but Newton’s third law I.e For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. please note that in Quantum physics only thought creates Action, not awareness.

Karma means act committed in lack of awareness. Typical acts of un-conscious mind stems from emotions like anger, greed, Jealous, ego.  Anything you do out of  mind and Unawareness continues to have reaction. The reason reaction happens is because event footprint remains in your mind. For example you carry anger about a friend or parents with you for a long time and lot of your actions are result of such an anger inside you. In other words Karma originates from thoughts ingrained in your system as a result of your un-mindful action.

However anything acted out of awareness, does’t leave foot print. Becasue awareness means you are so total in this moment there is no past or future for such a moment. Very rarely you carry it within you.

It Ancient wisdom, Crime is nothing but act you committed out of your mind on which you had no control.

The only crime is  you can commit is Unawareness.  Material manifestation of unawareness is reflected in events like robbery, murder, rape etc. so if you look at the basic reason for crime it is unconscious mind.

And only way to wash your Karma is Awareness. This is what the the meaning of Adam eating apple of Knowledge. It is nothing but Apple of Un-awareness.  Eden is still open and available , you can go back any moment. All you need is awareness

Next time you think of Karma, think of Awareness

Meditation is art of washing away your karma. Meditation is when you stop generating Karma and start living moment to moment.

Rose is your potential!

Photo copyright Suresh gundappa 2008

Just take a look at Nature! it has never happened before! it has never happened that one of the nature’s most beautiful creation  has trouble in blooming!

In nature Rose flower seed yields blooms into Rose!, Lotus seed blossoms into beautiful Lotus flower.  every potential seed becomes it’s destined flower.

Look at Man!

In essential Man is nothing but a Buddha, a Jesus, a  Mohammad.

But he can bloom into Hitler,  Osama,  Saddam,

your misery  in life is nothing but you longing to bloom into a flower,

Your pain in life is nothing but unknown calling of awareness,

It does’t matter how succesful you are going to be in terms of Materialstic goals, platonic relationships,

you still need inner Romance,

Inner lover affair,

you are butterfly in need of metamorphosis,

Till then you remain a seed unfulfilled your potential,

Essentially, you are a Buddha.  In the seed you are a Buddha, a Jesus, a Mohammad  but in the seed you are imprisoned. Let the seed be broken, let it be shattered into the soil so that roses can start growing within you.  A man of consciousness becomes a garden of roses.  One of the ancient tarot card on courage says as follows.

Nothing can be guaranteed. Thousand and one are the hazards of the journey, many are the pitfalls – and the seed is secure, hidden inside a hard core. But the seed tries, it makes an effort; it drops the hard shell which is its security, it starts moving. Immediately the fight starts: the struggle with the soil, with the stones, with the rocks. And the seed was very hard and the sprout will be very, very soft and dangers will be many.

There was no danger for the seed, the seed could have survived for millennia, but for the sprout many are the dangers. But the sprout starts towards the unknown, towards the sun, towards the source of light, not knowing where, not knowing why. Great is the cross to be carried, but a dream possesses the seed and the seed moves.

The same is the path for man. It is arduous. Much courage will be needed

you need to gather courage, and this courage means disappearing into the soil, losing yourself in complete let-go. Losing ego , losing thought occupied mind.

Meditation is nothing gardening your potential. Meditation is nothing but creating a ecosystem to realize your potential.

photos and you!

Eyes are an amazing science. What you see can create a ripple of thoughts inside you. In an over communicative world, Eyes need rest. They need rest from your thinking and constant chattering of mind. Let me share with you photos, which takes your mind away. Let me give you a taste of silence for a moment. This site is your private space. Space where you can be just still and enjoy images. My effort is to create a guidaspirituale thru images.
